Introduction to RPC – Recurrent Aeronautical Test Preparation
Introduction to Unmanned General Recurrent (UGR) FAA Test Preparation
If you would like to devote some extra home study to the questions you missed on the original certification exam, check the PLT codes on your exam report in the list of PLT codes HERE (PDF). The FAA is moving from Pilot Learning codes (PLT) to the new Airman Certification Standards (ACS) codes. More about that HERE (PDF)
If you are a part 61 pilot with a UAG certification you can renew your certificate by taking the online training course at FAAsafety.gov, followed by an exam. If you are not a part 61 pilot you can still take advantage free of the online training course that the FAA provides, but you will not be able to renew your 107 remote pilot certification online. While part 61 pilots are required to take the online course at FAAsafety.gov, part 107 Remote Pilots (UAG) are allowed to take the course but are not required to do so.
Applicants for a part 107 remote pilot certificate who do not hold a part 61 pilot certificate (or part 61 pilot certificate holders who do not meet the requirements of a current flight review or other provisions of 14 CFR part 61.56) may incorporate this training into their self-study curriculum to help prepare for the FAA Unmanned Aircraft General (UAG) Knowledge Test. The course focuses on the knowledge areas of 14 CFR part 107 that are beyond the operational knowledge of parts 61 and 91 (FAA)
The FAA Safety training online course takes about 2 hours to complete. When you complete the Flash portion of the course, you will find a page with related links and reference materials. We recommend taking that online class in addition to the review material provided in our course here.
- The FAA course uses FLASH media which IOS devices (eg, Ipad, iPhone) and other Apple products cannot display, so you may need to use a PC or Chromebook. Jon Rupprecht is also providing a resource for the Recurrent Pilot Certification. There are other resources that can be found online as well. Make use of any and all available resources in your preparation and training.
