Night Authorizations for Recreational Flyers with LAANC
Recreational flyers may now apply for near real-time airspace authorization for night operation using the Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability known as LAANC.
Recreational flyers must meet the requirements of the Exception for Limited Operations of Unmanned Aircraft and follow safety guidelines of FAA-recognized Community Based Organizations.
The FAA still does not allow recreational flyers to operate in controlled airspace at night.
